The 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Vietnam took place in Hanoi on December 6, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Vietnam announced on its Facebook Friday. The event was organized by the Embassy of Bulgaria in Hanoi and the Vietnam – Bulgaria Friendship Association.

Among the official guests were former chairperson of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyen Sinh Hung, members of the Bulgarian-Vietnamese friendship group – MPs Doan Thi Le An and Ong Duong Tan Quan, former ministers and deputy ministers, senior officials of the ministries of foreign affairs, defence and public security, representatives of the People's Committee of Phu Tho province, as well as representatives of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.

As part of the programme of the event, videos highlighted the Vietnam - Bulgaria Friendship Association’s work with the Bulgarian Embassy, along with key developments in mutual relations and partnership between friendship organizations, the publication said.

The Bulgarian diplomatic mission reported that, with support from the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Vietnam News Agency, photographs from Bulgarian President Rumen Radev’s visit to Vietnam and Vietnamese Communist Party Secretary General To Lam’s visit to Bulgaria were displayed.
