The Council of Ministers has approved a decision on Bulgaria’s participation in the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington, D.C., on February 19, 2026, at the invitation of its founder and chairperson, US President Donald J. Trump, the Government Information Service said on Tuesday. 

A Bulgarian delegation has been appointed to attend. It consists of Ivan Naydenov, Permanent Secretary at Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry and head of the delegation; Konstantin Dimitrov, Director General for Political Affairs at the Ministry; Stefka Yovcheva, Charge d'affaires at the  Bulgarian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

Bulgaria will participate in the inaugural meeting as a non-voting member, in accordance with Article 11.1(b) of the Board of Peace Charter. This engagement reflects Bulgaria’s ongoing commitment to supporting efforts for lasting peace, security, and stability in the Middle East.
