Radostin Vasilev, leader of the Morality, Unity, Honor (MECh) party said Wednesday in Parliament that Bulgaria is in an unprecedented political crisis and deadlock. “The decisions in this chamber and in the executive branch are not your decisions; you vote, and then they say you have no right to an opinion,” argued Vasilev from the parliamentary rostrum in a declaration to Bulgarian citizens.

He pointed out that for almost nine months there has been a “rule by plunder,” in which chaos reigns instead of order, and “umbrellas over corruption” instead of justice. “The Cabinet, composed of GERB, MRF-New Beginning the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), and There Is Such a People (TISP) has turned us into an anti-state, corruption has taken over, and ideologies and values in politics have been trampled on,” Vasilev said.

"The choice is no longer between left and right, between old and new parties, the choice is whether we will allow them to finish us off or whether we will take back our state. Because Bulgaria is not theirs, it is ours, and if we do not save it, no one else will. The need to restructure Bulgaria's system of government is glaringly obvious,“ he said.

Vasilev also argued that ”the current alliance of national traitors“ will collapse very soon because ”every corrupt system is historically doomed."

"The time has come to put national interests above personal ones, to seek accountability and justice. I am convinced that the Bulgarian people are waking up and realizing that they can fulfill their enormous potential only in a state governed by the rule of law, where the law applies to everyone. I believe that together we will defend our civil and social rights and lead Bulgaria on the path to democracy, prosperity, and well-being," said Vasilev.
