site.btaYes, Bulgaria Announces Long-Term "Resistance Plan against State Capture"

The co-leaders of Yes, Bulgaria Ivaylo Mirchev and Bozhidar Bozhanov announced Wednesday the launch of a long-term resistance plan to confront the "captured state" and offer a democratic alternative. "We intend to put the country on new tracks in the coming months and years, and to show that Bulgaria can be governed differently and that we can be the alternative to today’s ruling majority,” said Mirchev.
The first action under the plan begins Wednesday evening with a protest in front of the Palace of Justice.
The long-term plan includes maintaining constant protest readiness; creating a new political contract between citizens and their representatives; establishing a program board of citizens, politicians, and experts to participate in key national decisions. Other measures include ensuring a strong pro-European presidential candidate; freeing Bulgaria from Russian influence and "deputinization", to use Mirchev's words; promoting modernization through AI and e-governance initiatives; building a stronger grassroots presence, and launching serious efforts to restore the rule of law. Judicial reform will be actively pursued in the current Parliament, the leaders said.
Bozhidar Bozhanov added that the upcoming no-confidence vote will target the justice and interior sectors. “This will be the first vote supported by real arguments and genuine debate,” said Mirchev. When asked whether the government might fall, he replied that "it depends on Delyan Peevski", the leader of MRF - New Beginning.
