A concert by the concertmasters of Apollonia, new literary debuts, theatre, and film were the highlights of the sixth day of the Apollonia Festival of Arts in Sozopol.

The day began at the Art Gallery with the presentation of Summer in Burlandia, a novel by Momchil Milanov. Later, the Sofia Youth Theatre staged Lisbon, a play by Zachary Karabashliev, on the stage of the Otets Paisiy Community Centre.

The programme continued with the chamber concert Miniatures, featuring cellist Romain Garioud and pianist Daniela Dikova, held at the Archaeological Museum. At the Art Gallery, writer Antonia Apostolova presented her book The Pain Comes Later, followed by author Joanna Elmi and her novel Made of Guilt. Over at the Summer Cinema, audiences watched The Shameless, a film by Konstantin Bozhanov.

A standout moment on the Apollonia Amphitheatre stage was the performance by violinists Lia Petrova and Svetlin Roussev, who played together for the first time using the Stradivarius and Guarneri string instruments — the very same historic instruments awarded to them during last year’s festival.

The festive day concluded with a jazz concert by JP3, featuring Zhivko Petrov (piano), Dimitar Semov (drums), and Dimitar Karamfilov (double bass).

The Apollonia Festival of Arts has been held annually since 1984. It is organized by the Apollonia Foundation, established in 1991. Each year, the festival's stages in Sozopol attract hundreds of artists and thousands of art lovers from Bulgaria and around the world. The event aims both to preserve Bulgaria’s cultural traditions and to support new talents across various forms of art. This year’s programme features over 70 events spanning music, theatre, literature, cinema, and visual arts.

BTA is the media partner of the event.
