site.btaMaximum Amounts for New Expenditure Obligations of Energy Ministry to Increase by BGN 2.2 Mln

The Cabinet has increased by BGN 2.2 million that cap for new expenditure obligations of the Ministry of Energy, as approved by the 2025 State Budget Act for 2025, the government press office said after the weekly meeting of the ministers Wednesday. 

The funds have already been used to settle obligations to end household consumers who were left without electricity during the period from December 21 to December 31, 2024. For this purpose, in April 2025, the Ministry of Energy transferred the amount in question to the Electricity System Security Fund.
