site.btaRomanian Border Police Uncover Four Involved in Illegal Migration, Including One Bulgarian

Border police officers in Giurgiu have found four people involved in illegal migration, according to information published on the official website of the Romanian Border Police on Friday. 

The officers stopped a German-registered car with a Bulgarian driver and three passengers. "Two of the passengers presented two passports, two identity cards, and a driving licence bearing Bulgarian features, all of which failed to meet the standards for authentic documents," the Border Police said. 

Investigators have established that the driver had agreed to take the passengers to Germany for payment. The vehicle has been impounded while the investigation is under way. 

Based on a cooperation plan between Romania and Bulgaria, the two men carrying false documents were handed over to the Bulgarian authorities for further investigation.
