site.btaUPDATED MRF - New Beginning Vows to "Remain Focused on People's Problems", Fight Attempts to Destabilize Government

The Parliamentary group of MRF - New Beginning will remain focused on the problems of people, MP Yordan Tsonev said as he read out a declaration for the opening of the new parliamentary session.
Tsonev said his party will continue to support the government as long as it addresses "the problems of the people". "To those preparing to destabilize the country, I will say this: we respect the right of Bulgarian citizens to protest. But the time when three protests could topple governments and trigger snap elections is over for us," he stated. "Anyone who tries to destabilize the country will meet our firm political response, as they have in the past."
Tsonev catalogued the "current urgent issues": the water crisis, price gouging, natural disasters, and the need to compensate affected individuals. He also pointed to chronic problems like income levels, state security, unpredictable business environment, and protecting Bulgaria’s geopolitical orientation. "The state must stand behind people affected by disasters, fires, and livestock disease — and also behind the socially vulnerable," he said. "This has always been a key goal of our policy."
He stressed that these priorities must be reflected in the upcoming budget — "the most important document adopted in the political autumn." Tsonev added that MRF – New Beginning will monitor the execution of this year’s budget and push for adequate funding of these policies in the next one.
The 2025 budget will be the first drafted in euros, he noted, and should focus squarely on solving real problems. The group will also continue to advocate for strong municipal investment programs, which they say must be better funded and targeted at solving local-level issues. "People live in the municipalities. Improving the environment they live in is a core goal of our policy."
Tsonev also stressed the importance of investments that create jobs and ensure income growth. He identified the lack of skilled labor, especially young professionals, as one of the main structural problems in Bulgaria’s economy.
"Through sound management of public assets — including legislative proposals we’ve already submitted — we will make sure state property is used in the public interest," Tsonev said. "Young professionals, especially doctors, must be provided with proper housing and decent pay so they stay and work in Bulgaria. None of this is possible without a regular cabinet and a stable political majority."
