site.btaSports Minister Honours Medallists from Sambo World Championships

Youth and Sports Minister Ivan Peshev has presented awards to Bulgaria's medallists from the World Sambo Championships in Bishkek and the World Youth and Junior Championships in Jakarta, the Sports Ministry said on Thursday.

Bulgaria's men and women earned four medals. Tanya Radulova (54 kg) took silver, and Anna-Maria Manusheva (65 kg), Dimitar Stoyanov (64 kg) and Ivan Harkov (79 kg) claimed bronze.

At the Youth and Junior Championships, Emily Apostolova won the junior women's 72 kg title. Denitsa Bozhinova (54 kg, U18 women, sport sambo) and Denitsa Georgieva (54 kg, U20 women, sport sambo) took bronze.

Peshev congratulated the athletes, citing the importance of their achievements, and said his Ministry would continue supporting Bulgarian sambo. Sambo Federation President Rosen Dimitrov thanked the Ministry for its backing across all age groups.
