The Director of the Dr Emil Iliev International Jazz Festival, Dr Tatyana Ilieva, Tuesday thanked BTA for its long-standing media partnership and coverage of the cultural event taking place in the mountain resort of Borovets.

"We hope that our relations will continue in a spirit of mutual respect and cooperation in our common goal, namely the development of summer mountain tourism through the organization of large music forums," she said in the letter addressed to BTA Director General Kiril Valchev.

Ilieva expressed special thanks to BTA's correspondent in Samokov Ivan Laskin, who covered the music forum this year. "With appropriate journalistic professionalism in commenting on the musical and accompanying programme of the Jazz Festival in Borovets, Laskin contributed to the promotion of the prestigious musical event, which took place in the period 1-6 August 2025 in the oldest mountain resort on the Balkan Peninsula," she stated in the letter.

BTA covered the fourth Dr Emil Iliev International Jazz Festival in Borovets, which was held from August 1 to 6, as the news agency has been a media partner of the festival since 2022. The festival opening on August 1 was attended by Culture Minister Marian Bachev, Samokov Mayor Angel Dzhorgov, Sofia Regional Governor Silvia Arnautska, BTA General Director Kiril Valchev and Bulgarian National Radio General Director Milen Mitev, among others.
