Revenues from overnight stays in Bulgaria reached BGN 340.7 million in June, increasing by 26% compared to the same month of 2024, show data published by the National Statistical Institute on Tuesday. Of these revenues, BGN 243.1 million were generated by foreigners and BGN 97.6 million, by Bulgarian nationals. 

In June 2025, there were 3,369 accommodation establishments in Bulgaria with at least 10 beds, up by 2.2% year on year. They offered 145,100 rooms and 325,700 beds in total, which is an increase by 3.6% from June 2024.

The bed occupancy rate in June 2025 was 39.6%, up by 0.8 percentage points year on year. 

Foreigners logged 2,627,400 overnight stays and Bulgarians, 1,203,600 stays in Bulgarian accommodation establishments in June, with the total number of overnight stays increasing by 8.4% year on year. The number of guests went up by 6% to reach 1,096,400 people in June 2025. Foreign guests increased by 13.9% and Bulgarian guests, by 1.9%.
