The mountains offer very good hiking conditions on Tuesday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) with the Bulgarian Red Cross told the Bulgarian News Agency. In the higher areas, temperatures will reach over 12C.

There have been no incidents in the mountains over the past 24 hours, the rescue service added.

National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology's mountain weather forecast: mostly sunny, with thundery showers over the massifs of Southwestern Bulgaria in the afternoon. Light to moderate north-northeasterly wind. Highs: 26C at 1,200 m, 20C at 2,000 m.
