An exhibition of reverse-glass batik paintings by Hungarian artist Elina Kovach is visiting Sofia between February 24 and March 9. The display is titled My Flower, My Flower, and is on view at Art Hotel 158. It visited Pernik earlier in February and will also tour Plovdiv, the hosts said.
“The exhibition impresses with a precise artistic style and a distinctive visual language. In her works, Elina Kovach combines traditional artistic heritage with a modern sensibility. Her compositions convey transparency, inner movement, and emotional depth. The characteristic batik technique on reverse glass gives her pieces lightness and finesse; they are both recognizable and unique,” the team said.
They highlighted that a special curatorial focus of the exhibition is the participation of Elina’s father, the renowned Hungarian artist Vadim Kovach, who is presenting a selection of his works. For the public, this is a rare opportunity to experience two generations of artists and their creative worlds within a single exhibition. Father and daughter are exhibiting together in Bulgaria for the first time.
The exhibition is a project of Rimini Fine Art, financed by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU facility.
