Burgas Airport Launches New Direct Flights in Summer 2026

Burgas Airport announced new routes for the upcoming summer season, as part of the preparations for the opening of the airport after the complete rehabilitation of the runway. There will be direct flights to Rome, London, Lille, Warsaw, and Paris.  

The airport also announced that from the beginning of May, Ryanair will operate direct flights between Burgas and Rome Fiumicino Airport, Italy. The flights will be twice a week - on Fridays and Sundays, and tickets are already on sale.

British airline Jet2.com has also confirmed that it will start operations between London Gatwick and Burgas on May 2. Flights on this route will operate every Wednesday and Saturday.

From May 27, the French airline Volotea will open a seasonal route from the city of Lille to Burgas. Flights to the French city will be once a week.

Hungarian carrier WizzAir is adding a new route Burgas - Warsaw. The flights, which will begin operating on July 21, will be twice a week - every Tuesday and Saturday.

Transavia France will operate regular flights on the Paris (Orly Airport) - Burgas route from May 25 every Monday.

The runway rehabilitation project at Burgas Airport is due to be completed by May 1. The investment, worth over EUR 50 million, is being implemented by the concessionaire Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD and is the largest in the airport's history.
