On the fourth anniversary of the start of the war in Ukraine, National Assembly Chair Raya Nazaryan said Bulgaria stands in solidarity with Ukraine and its people and supports their efforts to uphold the country’s independence and sovereignty.

Nazaryan, quoted by the National Assembly’s press service, said that Bulgaria welcomes all efforts to achieve a lasting and peaceful settlement in Ukraine. She stressed that the war must end with a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace based on international law and the UN Charter. Nazaryan added that the future of the free democratic world is unthinkable without freedom for the Ukrainian people.
