There Is Such a People (TISP) MP Pavela Mitova expressed relief that the governing coalition no longer have to deal with demands for posts and political protection, speaking to reporters in Parliament on Thursday.

Mitova was commenting on the decision by Democracy, Rights and Freedoms (DRF)-MRF to back the no-confidence motion to be voted on by Parliament later in the day. DRF-MRF said on Wednesday it would support the no-confidence vote against the government based on claims of corruption.

Asked by BTA whether DRF-MRF’s U-turn was a concern for TISP and whether a future vote might attract even more support against the government, Mitova said her party remains part of the ruling majority, which comprises three political formations, and declined to speculate on future developments.

“I have no idea what comes next. We’ll see after the vote,” Mitova added.
