There Is Such a People (TISP) MPs Toshko Yordanov and Aleksandar Rashev filed a complaint with the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office, the party’s press service said here on Saturday.

Yordanov and Rashev asked prosecutors to check whether Caretaker Minister of the Interior Emil Dechev pressured Ministry of the Interior officials and investigators to resign over the investigation of the Petrohan pass-Okolchitsa peak tragedy.

The check was needed because leaked information in the media suggested that Dechev had asked for the resignations of the Ministry of the Interior’s chief secretary, the chief secretary’s deputy, the head of the General Directorate National Police (GDNP), and all investigators working on the Petrohan Pass case, the party press service said.

Claims that resignations were sought from officers working on the pre-trial proceedings in the Petrohan Pass and Okolchitsa Peak cases were not true, the Ministry of the Interior press service said on Friday, adding that the statement came in response to media questions.
