Two people were injured in a massive overnight drone attack on Odesa, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, said on his Telegram channel.

“Overnight, the enemy launched a large-scale drone attack on Odesa. Civilian and energy infrastructure facilities sustained damage,” Kiper said.

Fires and destruction were reported at five private houses, a four-apartment residential building, and several garages. Several vehicles were also set on fire, the regional governor added.

“A city lyceum was partially destroyed, and warehouses belonging to an energy company were damaged. The fires that broke out were promptly extinguished by emergency responders,” Oleh Kiper said.

All relevant services are currently working at the scene.

Bulgarians in the Odesa region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000-60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
