site.btaEuro Adoption to Bring Over BGN 1 Bln Annual Benefits to Bulgarian Business - Industrial Capital Association Chair

Entering the eurozone will help Bulgarian businesses to eliminate transaction costs, generating over BGN 1 billion annual benefits, said Rumen Radev, Chair of the Managing Board of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association, during the launch of the National Information Campaign on the Introduction of the Euro, which took place on Tuesday in Burgas. These resources can be redirected towards investments, innovation, and the creation of new jobs, Radev noted.
According to Radev, eurozone accession will boost competitiveness and open access to more favourable financing. He emphasized that businesses will save significant costs on currency conversion, reduce risks in international transactions, gain access to cheaper financing, and operate in a more transparent and predictable economic environment.
The information campaign aims to ensure that leading institutions involved in the introduction of the single European currency in Bulgaria, including the Ministry of Finance, Bulgarian National Bank, Ministry of Economy and Industry, Commission for Consumer Protection, National Revenue Agency, Financial Supervision Commission, and National Social Security Institute, provide clear, detailed, and reliable information on the main stages and deadlines of the process.
