site.btaPrime Minister Zhelyazkov Attends Opening of Kindergarten in Kostinbrod

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov attended the opening of a new kindergarten in Kostinbrod, West Bulgaria, on Tuesday.

“The executive branch deeply and sincerely values the partnership we have with local authorities,” he said. “It is no coincidence that our priority has been for children to start preschool education at the age of four,” he added. 

“A child is shaped into a future worthy citizen from birth in the family environment, but at some point they must be entrusted to the care of educators, teachers, lecturers, and professors on their future career path, so that the future of Bulgaria is entrusted to the hands of worthy Bulgarians,” said Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.

The kindergarten was built under the Ministry of Education and Science's 2020-2025 programme for the construction, extension, and renovation of nurseries, kindergartens, and schools. The state is providing BGN 3,899,870, and the municipality of Kostinbrod is co-financing the project with an additional BGN 1,367,067.
