President Rumen Radev on Friday talked by phone with Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev in connection with a need to postpone his visit to Baku due to urgent domestic commitments, his press secretariat said on Friday.

Radev and Aliyev discussed prospects for advancing bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest to Bulgaria and Azerbaijan. The two outlined ways to develop partnership in energy, investments, transport connectivity and promote business contacts between the countries. To this end bilateral documents are being agreed and conditions for joint projects are being studied, which include companies from both countries.

President Aliyev renewed his invitation to his Bulgarian counterpart to visit Azerbaijan in order to continue and build on the highest-level dialogue.
