North Macedonia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs Bekim Sali, who is visiting Brussels, has held a working meeting with European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, the Ministry of European Affairs in Skopje said. The discussion focused on the progress of North Macedonia’s EU integration process, reform priorities, and current challenges on the European agenda.
During the discussions, Deputy Prime Minister Sali reaffirmed that EU membership remains a strategic priority for the Government, as it is viewed as a long-term investment in peace, stability, and prosperity across Europe. He noted that the current positive momentum should be leveraged through close and continuous cooperation with European institutions in order to achieve tangible progress in the integration process.
In his capacity as Minister for European Affairs, Chief Negotiator, National Coordinator for the Reform and Growth Facility, Sali underlined his commitment to maintaining the focus of the state administration on EU-related reforms and ensuring continuity in the pace of reforms, in line with European standards and best practices. In this context, views were exchanged on the implementation of the Growth Plan and the Reform Agenda, the Ministry added.
