The ethno-cultural festival Unity Through Diversity in Taraclia has been listed among Moldova’s leading cultural events, finding a place in the national cultural tourism calendar Tree of Life (Pomul Vietii) for 2026. This is the first time the festival has been included, the organizers said on their Facebook page on Tuesday.

This year’s 25th edition of Unity Through Diversity will be held on September 19.

“For us, this is not just a spot on a list. It is recognition, trust, and appreciation for the long-standing work of the entire team, partners, artists, and everyone who puts their heart into developing the festival. Not all events in the country are included in this programme. This means that we are growing. It means we are seen. It means we are moving in the right direction. In 2026, the festival is celebrating an anniversary, which obliges us to make it even brighter, more meaningful, and inspiring. We are convinced that only together with participants, guests, partners, and our entire large ethno-family we can create a celebration that will be remembered for a long time,” the organizers said.

The national Tree of Life calendar for 2026 brings together 45 key cultural and tourism events across the country, ranging from traditional folk holidays and wine festivals to international music, gastronomy, and ethno-cultural forums. The events will take place throughout various regions of Moldova over the course of the year.

According to the organizers, inclusion in the calendar represents official national recognition of the festival’s significance in the country’s cultural life.
