Five formations are certain to enter the next National Assembly, while two others retain a realistic chance of representation, according to a survey, presented by Trend poll agency. The agency estimates that 3.1 million voters will go to the polls on April 19.

The survey, commissioned by 24 Chasa, focuses on electoral attitudes ahead of the forthcoming early parliamentary elections. According to the findings, voter turnout in the upcoming early elections is expected to be higher than in the last several ballots. A total of 59% of all adult Bulgarian citizens living in the country say they will exercise their right to vote.

The new political formation associated with Rumen Radev ranks first with 32.7% support among those intending to vote. Second comes GERB-UDF with 20.4%. Third place is contested by Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) with 10.9% and MRF–New Beginning with 10.5%. Vazrazhdane is fifth with 7.8% support among declared voters. Close to the threshold are the Bulgarian Socialist Party (3.8%) and MECh (3.6%). According to the data, There Is Such a People has 2.5%, the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms (ARF) 1.7%, and Velichie 1.6% support among respondents.

A survey by Myara poll agency the previous week indicated that if elections were held in mid-February, the formula for entering Parliament would be five plus two, meaning five formations could be certain of seats, while two others would have realistic prospects of representation.

Data from a survey by Market Links last week also placed first among likely voters a formation involving Rumen Radev.
