Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar initiated a phone call with caretaker Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynsky, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs press service said here Tuesday.

They discussed expanding cooperation in the economy and high technology and reviewed security issues in the Middle East. Saar welcomed Bulgaria’s proactive policy in support of regional peace, including its efforts related to the Gaza Relief and Early Recovery Plan.

Saar congratulated Neynsky on taking office again as Bulgaria’s foreign minister and invited her to visit Israel in the near future.
