Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev Friday sent a letter to caretaker Health Minister Michail Okoliyski requesting financial assistance for St. Anna Hospital in the seaside city, the Municipality's press centre said.

Kotsev noted that the State is the majority owner of the hospital, with Varna Municipality a minority owner. He also insisted on information about the report from an audit of the medical facility, which was appointed by the previous Health Minister, Silvi Kirilov.
On Wednesday, the management of St. Anna Hospital sent a letter to Varna Municipal Council Chair Hristo Dimitrov requesting an urgent allocation of EUR 300,000 in financial assistance for the medical institution.
