There were no exceedances in the results obtained from the sampling with the military research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (RSV 421) at 17 sites located along the Black Sea coast. No pollution was detected at all five sites in the territorial sea, the Ministry of Environment and Waters (MoEW) said Monday in connection with the regular monitoring of the sea water situation after the destruction of the wall of the "Nova Kakhovka" dam, located on the Dnipro River on the territory of Ukraine.

"The latest data from the numerical modeling of the Center for Integrated Management and Monitoring of the Coastal Zone and from satellite monitoring also do not show pollution of the Bulgarian water area with potential pollutants from Ukraine", the Ministry of Environment and Water pointed out.

The latest satellite images received do not show any pollution in Bulgaria's economic zone (which extends beyond the territorial sea up to 200 nautical miles), the Ministry added.

According to regular coastal water survey data from coastal stations, there are no concerns related to bathing areas along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
