Bulgarian Olympic Committee President Vesela Lecheva was a guest of the Egyptian Olympic Committee and spoke with its Secretary General Hazem Hosni, who is also President of the African Shooting Federation and the Egyptian Shooting Federation. Lecheva reported the news on Facebook on Wednesday.

Cairo is currently hosting the World Shooting Championship involving over 700 competitors.

Lecheva and Hosni discussed cooperation between the two Olympic committees – exchanging experience and personnel, and opportunities to use the sports facilities in both countries.

Next year, another African city, Dakar, will host the Youth Olympic Games. Lecheva and Hosni discussed the continent's readiness to host such a large competition for the first time.

After the meeting, the two-time Olympic silver medallist and five-time world champion in shooting also visited Egypt's Olympic Museum. There she left her signature in the guest book.
