site.btaRegistration for Wizz Air Sofia Marathon 2026 Opens

Registration for the 43rd Wizz Air Sofia Marathon opens on Tuesday on the event's official website. The event will take place on October 10 and 11, 2026, starting at Alexander Batenberg Square. The organizers from the Sport in Leisure Time Association expect this year's event to attract over 10,000 participants from Bulgaria and abroad.  

According to the organizers, the event will feature a variety of distances suitable for professional athletes, amateurs, and beginner runners alike, and will showcase the city's iconic routes. The 5 km and 10 km races will start on October 10 (Saturday), and the half-marathon (21 km) and marathon (42 km) disciplines will take place on October 11 (Sunday). Registration will be open until the respective quotas are full.
