site.btaVinaria International Wine & Spirits Tasting Competition to Present Nearly 200 Samples in Plovdiv

Nearly 200 samples have been submitted for participation in the Vinaria International Wine and Spirits Tasting Competition 2026, the Plovdiv International Fair management said on Tuesday.

The event is part of the prestigious 11th Agra, Vinaria and Foodtech exhibitions and is among the most prestigious professional forums in the sector, distinguishing the best enological products and alcoholic beverages, the organizers added. The tastings and evaluation of the samples by the specialized jury will be held on February 11 and 12, with the jury to include leading enologists, world-renowned tasters, sommeliers and traders.

Producers from Bulgaria, Italy, Greece, Czechia, Ukraine and Moldova will compete for the highest award, the Golden Rhyton statuette, and the award ceremony will take place on February 18. The programme of this year's edition of the exhibition includes an official presentation of a new book on viticulture and winemaking in Bulgaria by Dr. Bogdan Mandjukov on the same day.
