site.btaSofia Airport Opens Renovated Multi-Storey Car Park at Terminal 2

The fully renovated multi-storey car park at Terminal 2 of Sofia Airport Vasil Levski was opened on Tuesday.

The event was attended amongst others by French Ambassador to Bulgaria Marie Dumoulin, SOF Connect CEO Jesus Caballero, as well as Thierry Deau, Founder, Chair and CEO of the French investment fund Meridiam.

Caballero described the project as the largest to date within the concession of the capital's airport and pointed out that the investment amounts to over EUR 16 million. "This is another important stage in our commitment to modernize Vasil Levski Airport - Sofia," he emphasized, adding that the parking lot has nearly 1,000 spaces and provides a direct connection to the terminal via four elevators. As part of the project, a new floor with 30 additional parking spaces for people with reduced mobility was also built at level zero. 

Deau emphasized the long-term nature of the company's investments in the capital's airport. "Our investment in Vasil Levski Airport - Sofia is a long-term commitment to the connectivity, prosperity and competitiveness of Bulgaria. Together with our partners, we are building the airport of tomorrow, which develops sustainably and proudly serves its passengers according to the highest world standards," he said.
