An Aerospace Engineering programme in English is launched at the Technical University of Sofia, the higher education establishment said Wednesday. This Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering can be obtained only at that university in Bulgaria. 

Technical University of Sofia explains that the graduates' success on the job market is mostly guaranteed by the wide range of opportunities available to them with the growth of the commercial space sector and the development of space programmes worldwide. This creates a growing need for qualified aerospace engineers. Recent developments have increased their demand, particularly in South Asian countries, such as China and India, which are investing heavily in aerospace infrastructure and local manufacturing capabilities.

Graduates of the new programme can find employment in various companies designing, manufacturing, operating and maintaining aircraft and aerospace vehicles and their associated infrastructure, Technical University of Sofia also said.
