BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.
Hyusein Hafazov is the top-of-the-list candidate of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms for Sliven's 21st multi-member constituency. This is stated in a decision of the Constituency Election Commission in Sliven published on its official website.
Hafazov was born on 26 August 1976 in Burgas. He graduated in Bulgarian Philology and Journalism from the University of Shumen, according to a reference on the website of the National Assembly. He was Chief Secretary and spokesperson of the Office of the Chief Mufti. He was a member of the 42nd National Assembly from the parliamentary group of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. In January 2016, Hyusein Hafazov left the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and became a co-founder of Democrats for Responsibility, Freedom and Tolerance. In 2018 he returned to the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. He was a member of the 43rd, 50th and 51st National Assemblies.
For the forthcoming early parliamentary elections on 19 April, the party has registered a 12-member candidate list with the Constituency Election Commission in Sliven.
