BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.

Rumen Hristov is the top-of-the-list candidate of GERB-UDF for Montana's 12th multi-member constituency, the coalition press service said here Friday.

Rumen Hristov graduated in agrarian economics and taught the basics of marketing and agrimarketing. He was adviser to President Zhelyu Zhelev on agrarian issues in 1991-1994. He twice served as minister of agriculture in caretaker governments, in 1994-1995 under Reneta Indzhova and in 1997 under Stefan Sofiyanski.

From 1997 to 2002 he was chief administrative secretary in the administration of President Petar Stoyanov. He has been a member of parliament in eight legislatures. In the 51st National Assembly he was elected from GERB-UDF in Montana Region, the coalition said.
