The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) has launched a new section dedicated to news and announcements about the April 19 snap parliamentary elections on its Bulgarian-language website.
All of the Central Election Commission's (CEC) decisions will be published in a subsection titled CEC, in line with the requirements of the BTA Act.
BTA will cover the election campaign by providing equal opportunities for all parties and coalitions registered with the CEC for the April 19 parliamentary elections. This includes free coverage through the publication of official statements and announcements from their nationally authorized representatives, in accordance with the BTA Act.
In a subsection titled Campaign, BTA will publish daily news and summaries of the activities of parties and coalitions across all constituencies. Political parties are expected to provide advance information about their campaign events. At the national level, BTA will cover one event per day for each registered party or coalition.
BTA is already publishing biographies of the top-of-the-list candidates for all registered parties and coalitions.
Press conferences held at BTA’s National Press Clubs will be covered in the Press Club subsection in accordance with guidelines that have also been published. For each event, BTA will provide advance notice as well as a full video recording.
In the How to Vote subsection, users will find information on voting procedures, along with relevant decisions issued by the CEC.
On election day, the Election subsection will go live, featuring updates on the voting process, voter turnout, and the results.
