Units from the 38th Mechanized Battalion, part of the 2nd Tundzha Mechanized Brigade, carried out joint training with Italian units from NATO's Multinational Battlegroup in Bulgaria. The exercises took place at the Lyulyak Training Centre near Stara Zagora (Southern Bulgaria), the Ministry of Defence said on Friday.

A Bulgarian mechanized mortar platoon, along with teams from a mixed anti-tank platoon, conducted live-fire drills in a dynamic environment together with an Italian mechanized mortar platoon from the NATO Battlegroup. The joint exercises contributed to improving coordination with Allied forces and enhancing tactical training and interoperability in a multinational setting, the Ministry said.
