The Velichie (Grandeur) parliamentary party has tabled an official report to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), an international organization under the auspices of the United Nations, headquartered in Geneva, which protects the independence and inviolability of members of parliament worldwide, the party said in a press release on Friday.

The report, signed by the Velichie Floor Leader Ivelin Mihaylov, presents a chronology of systemic institutional pressure and attempts at political persecution targeting the party and its leadership.

The document contains information about deliberate actions that, according to the party, threaten the right to free political participation and violate the fundamental principles of democratic governance.

Among the cases described are reported attempts to exert pressure on the party leadership, media attacks aimed at discreditation, and alleged unlawful access to and dissemination of election documents and personal data, used to manipulate public opinion.

The report emphasizes the coincidence between warnings addressed to Mihaylov and subsequent public accusations by political opponents, presented in the media without evidence and without an opportunity for the affected individuals to defend themselves.
