Westinghouse Electric Company Monday announced the launch of its eight-week international internship program in the United States. The initiative is open to Bulgarian engineering students and offers them the opportunity to take part in world-class engineering projects and work alongside next-generation nuclear energy experts, the company said.
The 2026 internship is open to any engineering student who is currently enrolled at a Bulgarian university and has completed at least two full years of study. The programme will run from July 6 to August 28 and will take place at Westinghouse’s headquarters in Pennsylvania or at its Engineering Hub in South Carolina. Applications will be accepted until February 8.
Eligible Bulgarian applicants may apply in one of two specialized tracks. The first, Global Plant Engineering and Design, involves working in engineering teams to gain hands-on experience with design and engineering services for new and operating nuclear
power plants. The second, Global APx Supply Chain, focuses on how Westinghouse delivers engineering and project management services for new nuclear build projects.
