The ninth edition of the Zdravey (Hello) Bulgarian Festival will be held on February 8, 2026 in the Australian city of Adelaide, the organizers from the Bulgarian Cultural and Educational Society in Adelaide, said in a Facebook post.

“We are looking forward to welcoming you again and celebrating Bulgarian culture together. Get ready for a day filled with colourful stage performances, delicious food and entertainment for the whole family,” the organizers wrote. They added that the festival has a folkloric character and aims to bring together the Bulgarian community in the region through songs, dances, crafts and traditional Bulgarian cuisine.

The Bulgarian Cultural and Educational Society in Adelaide was founded in 1949 alongside the second wave of emigration from Bulgaria to Australia.

An Orthodox church, St Petka, has been built within the society, and it also runs the Sts Cyril and Methodius Bulgarian School, a Bulgarian Women’s Society, a library and a folk dance ensemble performing Bulgarian folklore.
