site.btaFire Breaks Out on Roof of Higher Court Building in Belgrade
A fire broke out on Monday morning at the Higher Court building in the Srbian capital Belgrade, Serbian media reported.
At around 08:20 local time, employees in the court noticed smoke on the roof. Fire crews responded quickly and extinguished the flames. Everyone in the building was evacuated to safety, according to the Serbian television RTS.
According to medical services, there were no injuries and nobody sought medical attention for smoke inhalation.
The Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that a total of 35 firefighters and rescuers with 11 vehicles participated in the operation.
"The situation is under control, and firefighters are continuing to ventilate the premises and check the ceiling and roof of the building", the ministry said in a statement.
