Bulgarian actress Jeanette Spassova , who lives and works in Germany, will present in German poems and excerpts from Ivan Landzhev's book On Inevitable Chance at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin on February 22.

The event will begin at 7 pm, and is free of charge, the Institute said.

The poet and essayist Ivan Landzhev was born in 1986. He graduated in philosophy and cultural studies at the Sofia University and has a doctorate in Russian classical literature. As a Fulbright Scholar in 2023, the author specialized at the University of Chicago. In 2022, he was a guest writer at Literarisches Colloquium, Berlin.

Ivan Landzhev has won several literatry award and prizes, and his poems have been translated into ten languages.

He is the author of the books On Inevitable Chance  (2023), You, Constant News (2020), Blame It on Bobby Fisher (2010), We, as the Garret Room Had Us (2014).
