Visits to Be Suspended in Sofia,
as COVID-19 Cases Increase


Sofia, January 10 (BTA) - As of January 12, planned admission and planned operations in all hospitals and complex oncological centres on the territory of Sofia-city will be suspended, except for activities related to transplantation of organs, tissues and cells, diagnosis and treatment of patients with oncological and oncohematological diseases, assisted reproduction activities and births. This was stated in an order by Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate Director Dancho Penchev, published on the website of the institution.

Outside visitors and visits to hospitals in Sofia will not be allowed, with the exception of visits to patients in the terminal stage. This does not apply to control bodies carrying out their control activities. RY/DT
