No information has been received about Bulgarian citizens injured in the attack on a mosque in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on its website on Friday.

At least 31 people were killed and 169 injured in a suicide bombing at a Shiite mosque, Reuters reported, citing a government official. Agence France-Presse noted that, according to a senior Pakistani law enforcement official, the death toll is likely to rise.

The Foreign Ministry recalled that Pakistan is currently subject to a risk index at Level 4 – a warning advising against travel throughout the country except in cases of extreme necessity. The Ministry recommends that Bulgarian citizens who are currently in Pakistan follow the instructions of law enforcement authorities, remain highly vigilant and avoid places where large numbers of people gather.
