Bulgaria’s outgoing Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov and Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov will participate in the 62nd Munich Security Conference on February 13-14, the Defence Ministry said in a press release on Thursday.

The annual forum brings together high-ranking government officials and opinion leaders from around the world to discuss key challenges in foreign and security policy.

Topics at the conference will include European security and defence, the future of transatlantic relations, regional conflicts, and security implications of technological advances. The event will also focus on critical aspects of global defence and security policy, including European defence cooperation, armed forces capability development, defence innovation, and arms control, the Defence Ministry’s press service also reported.

Outgoing Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and President Iliana Iotova will also attend the event.
