Bulgarian Olympic Committee Chair Vesela Lecheva sent a congratulatory address to World Championship silver medallist Stiliana Nikolova and the leadership of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation on Saturday.

Nikolova secured silver at the Rio de Janeiro World Championships, scoring 119.300 points across four apparatus, second only to Olympic champion Darja Varfolomeev of Germany. This marks Bulgaria’s first World Championships all-around silver since 2001.

Lecheva praised Nikolova's resilience and the dedication of her coaches, calling the medal a deserved reward after setbacks such as Paris 2024, and expressed hopes for more medals ahead of Los Angeles 2028.
