site.btaSofia to Host 2026 European Design Awards, June 11-14

Bulgaria will host the 20th edition of the European Design Awards and Festival from June 11 to 14. Following Luxembourg (2023), Naples (2024) and Ljubljana (2025), Sofia will welcome the event for the first time in its history, the organizers said.

The programme includes a two-day lecture forum featuring international speakers, exhibitions, studio visits, workshops, a meeting of the International Council of Design (ICoD), as well as guided city walks.

According to the organizers, Studio Komplekt, the event will position Sofia on the European design stage.

The event team informed that both established professionals and emerging designers from across Europe can submit their projects in a wide range of categories covering graphic design, visual identity, typography, digital design, packaging, posters, editorial design, among other fields of contemporary visual communication.

The submission deadline is February 13, 2026, and the awards will be presented live in Sofia.
