Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, quoted by the Council of Ministers, congratulated the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham) on its 30th anniversary on Thursday.
Zhelyazkov's address reads: "I believe in the talent of Bulgarian society, I believe in hard work, and I believe that in partnership with the United States, and in partnership between the United States and Europe, we as Bulgarian people, as Bulgarian businesses, will get as far as our dreams take us."
The Prime Minister noted that thanks to the work of AmCham, Bulgarian business can share a value system for doing business with integrity, which has led to significant successes.
Zhelyazkov concluded that the American model is the model of the Western civilization, whose survival today depends heavily on Europe's ties with the United States. He emphasized that as an EU Member State, Bulgaria should maintain a model of relations that affirms the values of Western civilization.
