GERB Leader Boyko Borissov and Outgoing Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev visited the Institute of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology – INSAIT, it transpired from a Facebook post by Borissov.

The two spoke with the founder of the institute, Professor Martin Vechev, and Executive Director Borislav Petrov.

Borissov wrote that INSAIT was established by a decree of the Council of Ministers in April 2021, while he was Prime Minister, and to date the results show that the institute far exceeds the goals for which it was created.

“Today INSAIT is renowned worldwide and brings enormous prestige to our country. Some of the largest Bulgarian and international companies also support it,” wrote Borissov. “In my meetings with our European and global partners, I also see that they are very well acquainted with INSAIT and ask me about it, which can only make us proud as Bulgarians,” Borissov added. early February, the Ministry of Education and Science said that the global technology leader Google has awarded USD 500,000 to the Institute. The distinction was given for the high achievements in the development of artificial intelligence at both national and international levels. The funds will help support new world-class research and developments in this field.
