Deputy Culture Minister Ashot Kazaryan and Bulgarian National Radio Director General Milen Mitev met with Moldovan Culture Minister Cristian Jardan, MP Natalia Davidovici, and the Director General of Teleradio Moldova, Vlad Turcanu to discuss the broadcast of radio programmes in Bulgarian in the Taraclia region during a visit to Chisinau.

The Bulgarian National Radio is beginning negotiations with Teleradio Moldova, as well as with local media in the Taraclia region, to create a regional radio service that will distribute news and broadcasts from the Bulgarian National Radio for the Bulgarian community in the region. Representatives of the Moldovan authorities committed to providing assistance in securing a transmission frequency.

The public radio consistently fulfills its commitment to reach out to Bulgarians around the world and to keep their connection with Bulgaria alive. Broadcasting a radio programme from the Taraclia region has the potential to reach more than 40,000 ethnic Bulgarians, providing them with access to high-quality journalistic content, verified news, as well as up-to-date informational and cultural programme in the Bulgarian language.
