site.btaIndustrial Producer Prices in Bulgaria Up 5.9% M/M in January 2026

The overall Industrial Producer Price Index (PPI) in Bulgaria increased by 5.9% in January 2026 compared with the previous month, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported on Friday.

Higher prices were recorded in:

• the mining and quarrying industry – up 18.3%,
• manufacturing – up 1.9%,
• electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply – up 1.4%.

On an annual basis, the producer price index in January 2026 was 11.3% above its level in January 2025.

Year-on-year increases were registered in:

• mining and quarrying – up 50%,
• electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply – up 7.2%,
• manufacturing – up 5.9%.

According to NSI data, in January 2025 producer prices had risen by 4.9% month-on-month and by 12.5% compared with January 2024.
